Shanti has been active in the Japanese music industry for over 10 years, writing lyrics and singing for jingles and film music. She has also written for or collaborated with many artists there, Toku, Marleen, Take 6, Hajime Yoshizawa etc. Her voice is known world wide thaks to collaborations with Kanno Yoko for various animated films. A song she co-wrote and sang ,in June '08, with Yoshizawa Hajime, called "Home, " was #1 for a short time on iTunes in Japan. See links below.

Shanti co-wrote 5 songs for the Jazz singer/Trompetist "Toku" for his most recent album, "Love Again" (featues a duet with Toku and "Exile " vocalist Atsushi) . For more info check Toku's site

She has appeared on stage as a background vocalist with a variety of top artists and since 2003 has been performing on her own in various formations. Share My Air is her debut album, recorded in Paris with some of France's top musicians. It's in stores in Japan, and on dowload sites worldwide. See the "Music Stores" link above.

Since October 2008, Shanti is the co-host of J-Melo, a music program produced by NHK, broadcast in 180 countries. From time to time, Shanti also performs on this show. See the "J-Melo-" link below.
